The glossary explains what each thing is. These pages are for the moment after that — when you know what both are and need to know which one to pick.

Every page here commits to an answer. Not “it depends on your style”, which is the failure mode of the entire format and the reason most comparison pages are worthless. Each one names a side and the condition under which it wins, so you can disagree with it.

The pairs are not invented. Most come from mining 24,971 videos for comparisons people actually made, ranked by the audience each one drew. Where a pair was chosen editorially instead, both sides already have a full page here — so the comparison is written from our own material rather than from general knowledge.
